This page contains a few of my previous clients' success stories.  I have purposely tried to make these featured case studies as varied as possible so that you see the potential for the work that I do.  Although many of the clients I work with seem to have nothing in common with my previous clients, there is usually some common ground and when you look just below the surface, many of the 'issues' tend to relate back to common issues such as limiting beliefs, childhood trauma or self esteem.

If you would like to be the newest testimonial or 'success story' get in touch to book your free 30 minute consultation now to discuss exactly how I can help you to start Healing That Feeling.

Case Study #1: Panic Attacks and Anxiety

The client: Emily is a healthy 28 year old woman with no children and what seemed to be a reasonably stress free lifestyle.

The issue: However, she told me that she had been suffering from the effects of extreme anxiety and panic attacks for many years, and had actually gone to her doctor approximately 5 years ago for a solution. His solution was to prescribe betablockers!  She was not happy with this and wanted a more natural solution, she wanted to learn how to control her stress herself to enable her to be able to come off her medication.

The process:  The priority in this case was to ensure that Emily did not suffer from further panic attacks or palpitations as they were actually adding to the anxiety, which in turn was causing more panic attacks and palpitations. So we went through some very simple breathing and relaxation exercises that Emily could do herself at home, at the relevant times when she was starting to feel stressed.  We also put together a plan for her to make a habit of relieving stress each day at the start of the day and before she went to bed, using the very simple, easy to implement techniques.

The outcome: I spoke to Emily 4 weeks after our session. She told me that she had been doing these simple techniques that I taught her whenever she felt the first signs of palpitations and whenever she remembered at night before going to bed.

She has not had one single panic attack or 'racing heart' since our session.

She also reported that (under the supervision of her Doctor) she is now off the betablockers and has no intention of relying on them again for stress related anxiety.

Case Study #2: Epileptic Seizures and Stress

The client: John is a 19 year old College Student based in the US.  At the time of working with me, he was moving to another College in a new town.

The issue: John had been a sufferer of Epilepsy from a very young age, but his ‘once in a while’ seizures had started to become more regular.  He was worried that he would not be able to cope with moving to a new town, starting his studies at a different college and making new friends, as he was now having fits every other day.

The process:  Due to our time difference I was unable to speak to John in a live session, but he was already an experienced EFT user, so he asked me to write him a specific EFT for his issues.  I opened a case file for him and wrote a script based on his stress, which I believed was the reason for the increased number of seizures (although he had not made the connection between the two things).   I sent the script to John and told him to use it at least once a day, even if he could only Tap for a couple of minutes.

The outcome: I followed up with John a couple of months later and the results stunned me!   He told me that not only had the script worked to ease his seizures, they had completely stopped them!  Who know if this will be a permanent result as there is no testing for EFT for Epilepsy long term, but it was a fantastic result for him which enabled him to move to his new life with feelings of excitement, rather than stress.  He also now knows that if his symptoms return, EFT is a tool that can be used to keep his seizures under control.

Case Study #3: Severe Claustrophobia and Fear of Flying

The client:  'L' is a lady in her late 40's who has suffered from severe claustrophobia for more than 30 years.

The issue: She approached me because her fear of flying meant that she was unable to go to Austrailia for a family trip – even though the flight was already booked and was just two weeks away!   At the start of the 1st session, L could not even imagine going to an airport, she would go into a complete panic attack and was unable to breathe.

This seemed like a straight forward case at first as L seemed to think that a specific event caused the claustrophobia, but it was actually very complicated with lots of different aspects and I'm pretty certain that if she had attempted the tapping techniques on her own, she would not have made much progress.

This is why I always stress that it is important to work with an EFT therapist for complicated issues such as phobias.

The process:  Lots and lots of tapping!  I used EFT over 2 x 90 minute sessions and included visualisation techniques mixed in with the EFT to eradicate any buried memories and limiting beliefs as we uncovered them.  It was much more long winded than a normal session (usually I include all sorts of other techniques, but in this case EFT seemed to be the most effective).  We eventually uncovered specific panic attack memories from her childhood connected to being trapped and also one when she was a young adult.  She had not thought about these memories for MANY years, but they were still there, buried in her subconscious.  We ended the 2nd session with a complete visualisation coupled with EFT of an imaginary flight from start to finish.

The outcome: L was able to get her flight to Austrailia and she didn't have any panics attacks at all.  She used a secret tapping technique which I taught her for the take off and landing but other than that, she was relaxed and her family could not believe the change in her!

Case Study #4: Depression and Low Self Esteem

The client:   'M' is a great example of a 'quick fix' with EFT. She had needed just one phone session to feel better about her ongoing situation. She had been suffering from depression, including a suicide attempt, for many years.

The issue:   M contacted me because of her feelings of depression and low self esteem but she also wanted to work on her feelings about her marriage.   During the session her negative emotions all seemed to be centered around the fact that her husband did not 'put her first'. She felt that he shut down when she wanted to talk about problems. This made her feel rejected, unloved and unimportant. It had been such a serious thing for her that she had attempted suicide approximately 8 years before.

The process:  I explained that we had to concentrate on her (rather than the perceived shortcomings of her husband) and we worked on how she reacted to the stressful situations in her life.  We tapped away all the feelings of 'churning in her stomach' and the negative emotions around the strained relationship with her husband. We also delved into deeper feelings such as her parents divorce and her relationship with her father, which seemed similar to the lack of emotion showed by her husband.  At the end of the session, she felt a release of the energy and said 'it just doesn't seem that important now'.  I gave her some specifically designed EFT scripts and postive affirmations so that she could continue the good progress on her own.

The Outcome:  When I checked back with her the next day, she still felt better, more positive and didn't have any 'nervousness' left in her stomach.  But 10 months later we caught up again and the transformation was incredible.  She had not only continued to use EFT and positive affirmations to avoid the feelings of depression returning, she had completely turned her life around and her self esteem had obviously skyrocketed because she was now a business owner and completely in control of her feelings and emotions; she felt balanced and calm for the first time in many years.
